postcards from Crete

As you may know I have been to Crete recently and I had the best time there.
Firstly, it was warm. (!) I MEAN C'MON SHORTS. Showing off legs for the first time this year - yaass, this is what I needed.
Secondly, the landscape is beautiful. Just imagine this (I'll get a little dreamy now, so consider yourself warned):
The island mostly consits of hills and amazing beaches and everything, literally, is so wild. When you drive a little deeper into the island, you get this: winding, empty one-car roads leading to an actual nowhere. Well, if you wanna call "completely wild, deserted meadows on the hills with a great view at the coastline" a nowhere. Well, they do.
Did I mention how wild this all was or...?
I can bearly describe it. Just hectares of spacious ground, all overgrown with all kinds of Mediterranean plants (which smell amazing btw). With no one around. (I hate crowded places, so it was a para-para-paradise for me.) I just could wander around and just enjoy the nature and the silence.
But wait up, that isn't all. The coastline now.
The beaches, WOAH. This time of the year wasn't exactly the "tourists" season, so all of the nice places were, yes I say, empty! And this does matter. The sea there has all the prettiest colours possible, from the navy blue to turquoise, and as you can imagine it is extremaly clear. Yay!
The cities. Walking around some cute alleys there, that's what I could do all day and I wouldn't be bored.

Guys, I have found my happy place.
I'll post the outfits and some other random pics from there later.

the moodboard 03

something dies when you grow older

This year somehow I feel much more spring-inspired than I used to, probably that's all today's sunshine's power, yay freckles. Nothing ever changes but the date, and we already can feel new beginnings in the air (um sorry those whose weather is crap).
I'm always the one who runs around on the first of March and shouts with excitement like "get up you sleepy heads, let's damn have fun okay" and nothing happens. If you're the sleepy one, let the music help you, its power is undeniable.
And yeah, don't care if that's shallow - clothes make our mood.
My spring thing is usually something plain and free-going and Doc Martens to fight with dirty pavements. White T-shirt is a total best friend.
Spring is perfume(hello my allergy mates),I love anything minty like a toothpaste.
also:
flower crowns (cliché and so what), lace collars, cat eye makeup, woolen legwarmers, your brother's football hoodies, drape coats right from English province or the one aka Alex Turner's "bought it in zara it was 70% sale" coat with big buttons

boots are good for kicking your enemies

You probably already know I sort of exist - I'm the second author of this blog who haven't written anything here yet. Hi guys, I'm Mari.

*i wish a had a normal pic to introduce myself but sorry guys, that's my usual december state*

So, let's cut the meeting crap - I'm showing you some of my boots today.

Look, let me just say it - I have problems with Internet shopping, cause it seems like I had a sleepwalking shopping session on Amazon last Thursday. The boots I accidentally (or not) ordered are okay (if you can call the boots with near 15 cm sole "okay"). Nothing special though my mum freaked out a little when I told her I'm wearing them to school tomorrow. I call them "oh hey I kinda feel hardcore today so back off" boots.

I
T.      These sweeties took 50 dollars out of my pocket the way I didn't even seem to notice, but believe me, it's worth it.  Plus they make my legs look skinnier (calm down, I am body positive, but whatever).

Creepers. Nothing more, nothing less, they are good for routine wearing, they go both with fluffy skirts and jeans and actually everything else.  Mine are velvet, near 30-35 dollars, Demonia. You can simply order something like that on Urban Outfitters, they often have sales, or Amazon of course.
And yes! I always wear them with weird socks - like socks with eyeballs or dead ducks. Never mind.

Dr Martens, old habits die hard. Classics though ordinary models are a little boring. Personally I am deeply in love with flower option which I am lucky to own. ( it doesn't prevent me to look at black Martens and weep quietly).

get yourself prepared for drama -
these are boots I don't own but dream about every night while watching old  seasons of America's Next Top Model:

 (yes. men's boots count)
In conclusion I wanted to say something inspiring about boots and stuff, but well... I'd love to see your own pics of boots, the crazier the better, I guess Iga (hey girl, you're awesome) wouldn't mind as well.
See ya.
P.S. I'm having kind of a photoshoot with me and my body and my friend with a camera on Wednesday - so I will post some random photos of those first hardcore babies again.
